Hello, my name is Rose. Traveling gluten free and living gluten free can be a bit of a challenge. I hope I can give you or someone you know some gluten free encouragement. After being gluten free for quite a while now, I am hoping to pass on some great gluten free recipes, products and safe restaurants for you to indulge. There are some incredible gluten free foods that I constantly stumble upon and I can’t wait to tell you about them all! I want to share with you my passions of travel and finding gluten free yumminess.
Beginning at two weeks old, I began traveling to different parts of the of the world. I am proud of having been a military dependent my entire life. My heart swells at the sight of a Purple Heart license plate, the American Flag, the sounds of Taps and our National Anthem.
I love taking pictures wherever I go. Sometimes it takes me hours longer to get somewhere because I keep pulling over while driving the car trying to capture that perfect photo. My husband is so patient with that. After a while my daughters begin looking at the time and I begin hearing “Mommmmmm!”. I always want the window seat while flying. The people seated beside me while I am clicking away probably think to themselves “Awwwww, this must be her first time flying”….nope, I’ve been doing that since a new baby and every flight is just breathtaking!
Being together with my pilot husband, daughters and son-in-law, preferably tucked in a cruise ship stateroom is my favorite place! My family and I live in metro Atlanta. After moving around due to the military when I was a child, I was mostly raised in Upstate New York, married and lived in North Carolina for a bit and then further down South to Georgia. I absolutely love visiting New York State even in the winter because of my forever Northern friends there, the food is nothing short of fabulous, the scenery is gorgeous and a huge part of my heart is still there. But the South is now my home. I love the weather, the accents, my Southern friends, boiled peanuts, fried green tomatoes and sweet tea. The list really goes on and on!
I have always loved eating and just the feeling of being in the kitchen, preparing food for my family and loved ones. I love trying new recipes and always seem to do that when having a large crowd over. Surprisingly that works out. Grocery shopping, seeing a meal coming together, having someone tell me that it smells good, gathering around the table, having conversation about the day and laughing, seeing people having seconds, is such a warm fuzzy feeling for me. The kitchen is my happy place.
I will be referring to my hard working husband as the pilot or hubby, my daughters Meg & Kate and my new son Drake. Through the years my faith has grown along with my sweet tooth. I can’t get enough of the beach, airplane adventures, meeting new people and the changing of seasons. I’m so happy to be able to share with you what I am seeing when looking through the glass, whether it’s the bakery counter, a store window, my camera lens, or the airplane and car window. I want to share with you my passions of travel and finding Gluten Free yumminess.
All of my endorsements are products that I or my family enjoys. Or they are something just too good to pass up without me letting you know about them! With my husband being a pilot, our family has been blessed to be able to travel quite a bit. With our daughters getting older and one newly married, hubby and I are experiencing more time with each other again. We have a small bucket list of places to go, which actually seems to be growing. The plan is to share with you whatever unexpected discoveries we come across along the way.
