Bonnie Kenny | South Porch Antiques

Allow me to introduce you to Bonnie Kenny, Proprietor of 3rdGenerationFinds (check out her prayer journals on Instagram) and Co-Proprietor of South Porch Antiques out of Rochester NY. Bonnie has been working at the Annual Round Top Texas Spring Antiques Fair since she was 8 years old! I first met Bonnie as we worked together at America’s Mart in Atlanta. I was lucky enough to catch up with Bonnie and her folks this past week in Round Top.

Bonnie’s parents Patrick and Karen own South Porch Antiques. They are an antique and vintage design company that sells at antique show venues across the country. This year they will participate in Marburger Farm Antique Show Round Top Texas, Brimfield Antique Flea Market in Massachusetts, Junk Bonanza in Minneapolis, and Country Living Magazine Fairs in Rhinebeck NY, Columbus OH, and Atlanta GA. Their antique and repurposed items are just beautiful! There are no reproductions. Karen & Bonnie have everything placed just so! The stories these pieces could tell!

For years, Bonnie has been helping her parents as well as other vendors set up and take down their display booths. It takes four days just to set up for the shows. Then there is adding to the display inventory during the shows after hours, and finally taking down and repacking. She has developed a lot of close relationships in this tight-knit community of antique vendors which makes for a wonderful atmosphere. The dealers set up campers on the property for the week, which involves a lot of cookouts!!! So fun!! Learn more about the Marburger Farm Antique Show just by clicking here.

South Porch Antiques is a family business. Patrick, Karen, and Bonnie travel around the nation setting up and selling their finds. They have beautiful quality merchandise that they find at various locations and they even have pickers that help them with finding treasures. Depending upon which show they are working on, determines what type of merchandise they are showcasing. It all depends on the audience and clientele of a specific area. Their booth coming up in Brimfield MA will be more colorful with an eclectic, industrial, and hipster blend. Would love to see that!!

Bonnie has thoroughly enjoyed working with her parents all of these years and soaking up all of the family values they have instilled in her. The close family time they have had together has been such a blessing to her. Being around adults her entire life has matured Bonnie beyond her years. I’m so proud of Bonnie as she is hardworking, intentional, responsible with strong character. She’s also Summer Camp Counselor at a Christian Camp. She has done that for years and looks forward to doing it again this Summer.

Prayer Journal by Bonnie Kenny

Bonnie has begun a line of prayer journals that are available to see on Instagram @3rdgenerationfinds or for purchase at the South Porch Antiques Booth. If you have a prayer request, just follow Bonnie on IG and let her know what it is. She will be intentional with that request.

If you see any of these kinds, smiling faces, be sure to pop into their booth and check out their inventory. You won’t be disappointed!

Two of Bonnie’s favorite Bible verses: 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. And the end of verse 2 in Psalm 61; From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. I love these sweet reminders, Bonnie!

Take care for now sweet Kenny family! I will see you before too long at the Country Living Fair in Atlanta. Can’t wait to see what treasures you will have on hand!

Until then,
