Meet Kelley Hughes, the Owner of Wildflours Gluten Free Bakery in Maine! Just as cute and friendly as she could be in her adorable apron showing me all around her charming bakery.  Everything is just so fresh and delicious! Kelley really knows her gluten-free flour combinations! She has about 11 different flours to experiment with making ALL SORTS of goodies!

The Raspberry Coconut muffins in the middle right of this image were her first baked good! So Yummy!! I also tried the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin. So delicious, even after 3 days in our hotel room! I just popped it in the microwave for about 25 seconds and it tasted like it was fresh out of the oven!

One last nibble as I was at the counter. A sample plate of a new recipe they are perfecting! Although I’d say it’s already perfected!  A Smore’s Bar! Just look at those marshmallows, chocolate chips, and tasty crumbs! It was SOOOOO good!

I hope you were able to get a good idea of what this bakery has to offer by the photographs!! My mouth begins watering just looking back at these images. I truly cannot wait to return to Wildflours Gluten Free Bakery to continue trying more of their beyond fabulous baked goods. I’m bringing an empty suitcase next time!!

Kelley first opened Wildflours about 10 years ago as a gluten-free grocery store and then it became a small bakery. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed their building after only 2 1/2 years into their venture. Weeks after the fire, they reopened at their present location and did wholesale as well as a farmers market for 6 years. About 1 1/2 years ago, the bakery reopened. Back in the day, the building was actually the first grist mill in Maine

Wildflours Gluten Free Bakery is located in Brunswick Maine. It is nestled in a back in time community of beautiful old homes, which made me feel right at home from where I grew up near my Grandparents.

Just to interest you a bit more…..be sure to one day try their Carrot Coconut Pineapple and Blueberry Lemon Poppy Muffins, Apple Toffee Blondies, and Lemon Bars. And they have Cheesecakes out the wazoo…..Key Lime, Raspberry Swirl, Apple Caramel, Maple Pumpkin & Blueberry, all with GF Graham Cracker Crusts! So incredible. Oh and Hubby LOVED the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. He said they were better than “regular Oatmeal Raisin Cookies”! So there ya go! Approval ratings all the way around!

Thank you Kelley for such a warm welcoming! I loved all of the goodies I tried and truly can’t wait to return! Best wishes to you all at Wildflours Gluten Free Bakery.
