Red Oak Bakery in New Braunfels Texas is one of my all-time favorite bakeries! If you are near San Antonio, Red Oak Bakery is only a 40-minute drive to get to. It’s well worth every minute. Ruby and Katherine are the proprietors of this delectable bakery. Ruby is an incredible baker and her mom Katherine is the one who will welcome you when you enter the door. The baked goods at Red Oak Bakery are absolutely incredible! Everything is gluten-free! There are so many choices to choose from.

From the delicious Chewy Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies to the cakes, breads, brownies, and baguettes, you can’t go wrong with ANYTHING! It’s all beyond delicious.

The Coconut Lemon Poundcake is super moist and full of flavor. Just look at that glaze! It’s also Dairy Free.

The Cocoa Fudge Brownies with Fleur de Sea are one of my all-time favorites. So moist and full of flavor. You’ll never believe they are gluten-free!
The Bacon & Cheddar Scones go great with a cup of hot tea! Ruby also creates sweet scones.

Just look at these Olive Oil Buns that are Dairy Free as well as Gluten Free. So soft, fluffy and full of flavor!

This amazing loaf of Chestnut Buckwheat Sandwich bread speaks for itself. Look at the height!

This Orange Poundcake is packed with flavor. The glaze is wonderful as it completely covers the entire cake. The oranges are straight from San Marcos TX. Ruby sources ingredients locally as often as possible. She tailors her recipes to reflect the bounty of each season. I purchased this Orange Poundcake when I was traveling through New Braunfels in the month of April. I bought the entire cake! And yes, we ate the entire thing.

The French-Style Baguettes (Gluten Free and Dairy Free) are fabulous! They are crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. Again, you’ll never know they are gluten-free!
I really tried to get some beautiful photos so you could see exactly what I am talking about when I am mentioning the deliciousness of EVERY item they make from scratch. The Red Oak Bakery uses grass-fed milk and cage-free eggs. All of their flours are GMO. The Sweet Scones were so yummy with candied ginger and lemon zest. I brought home the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip with Ginger Spice jumbo cookie and shared one with my gluten-free neighbor! I want to revisit this bakery on a Saturday to try the Cinnamon Raisin Pecan Scone with Cinnamon Sugar and the Dark Chocolate Brioche! I can only imagine!!!

Ruby received some of her bakery training in France. The knowledge she brought to New Braunfels is so evident. Ruby puts her heart and soul into each creation she bakes.
Seeing how Ruby and Katherine interact with each other and the customers were so refreshing. Way to go Ruby and Katherine! I can’t wait to come back again and try even more! This was definitely the JACKPOT of bakeries! Each and every baked good is handmade from local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients.
