Meet Sergio working up a storm at the Stone Mountain Georgia Yellow Daisy Festival. He is one of the talented artists at the festival this weekend. Check out his booth, surrounded by happy repeat customers, where he will make your personally chosen beads and charms into a bracelet or earrings. Simply slide your chosen beads onto a bicycle spoke for a repurposed bracelet. They are beautiful! He can custom make them for your sized wrist or into the perfect size for 3-4-year-olds. Sergio has been working at the Yellow Daisy Festival for 8 years now and is from St. Thomas. I have known him since he started attending. He is so talented and creative in his designs. If you have a specific idea for your one-of-a-kind design, he will implement that for you. His jewelry is stainless steel and nickel-free. He also creates sculptures and guitars using repurposed bicycle chains, spokes, and gears. Sculptures are priced to order. The teal guitar on the right in his photo is priced at $175. The bracelets and earrings are priced from $15-$25. Such great ideas for birthday, Christmas, Mother’s Day or Teacher’s Gifts! If you would like to place an order, contact Sergio at: spoke_nfor@yahoo.com. The festival continues today until 5 p.m. and will be here again next September. If you are looking for another festival where you can find Sergio be sure to attend the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Georgia Festival September 15-17, 2017, or the 42nd Annual Fall Craftsmen’s Fair in Gatlinburg TN October 5-22, 2017. Such a great time of year to support local artisans and get some early Christmas shopping taken care of.
When the girls and I were on a cruise we had a stop in St. Thomas. There was a man waiting in line for a seat at an outdoor restaurant. Guess what he had on his wrist?…..yep, a bracelet designed by Sergio.
It’s a small world after all,
