The 5 Spot Cafe – Lawrenceville GA

The 5 Spot Cafe – Lawrenceville GA

February 6, 2018

The 5 Spot Cafe in Lawrenceville Georgia is absolutely one of my favorite gluten free restaurants to visit. I have enjoyed their gluten free breakfasts and lunches and have not been disappointed one time! Last week I was able to visit with the Owner, Scott Murad. I told Scott how much I LOVED his gluten free options at his restaurant as well as the fact that I know it's a safe environment for me to eat. I have never gotten sick at the 5 Spot Cafe. Scott brought me a sample of his homemade ...

IKE & JANE CAFE AND BAKERY – Athens GA

IKE & JANE CAFE AND BAKERY – Athens GA

January 31, 2018

Ike & Jane Cafe and Bakery in Athens Georgia was a fun find! Ike & Jane's always have gluten free options to choose from each day. When I popped in with Kate, they had an overabundance of gluten filled doughnuts that people were standing in line for! Couldn't have those, but they sure looked fabulous! In one display case, there were a couple of gluten free goodies. The Gluten Free Gooey Bar as well as the Gluten Free Peanut Butter Brownie were calling out my name. You know how I have ...

Taqueria La Parrilla – Athens GA

January 26, 2018

Holy Cow this was so yummy!! Taqueria La Parrilla was such a find for me yesterday in Athens Georgia. I was visiting Kate at the University of Georgia for the afternoon and we wanted to have lunch together. Kate has been to this Mexican restaurant before and noticed on the menu they stated "Rice and Beans are 100% gluten free and vegan"! So we thought it was worth a try for me to go next time I was in town. Our server Cecilia was so patient with my questions and knowledgeable about gluten and ...

Stone Mountain Park Yellow Daisy Festival 2017

Stone Mountain Park Yellow Daisy Festival 2017

September 10, 2017

The Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain Park is always so much fun! Katie and I decided to spend the afternoon there yesterday. It's still opened today, Sunday until 5 p.m. So you have plenty of time to check it out.  Not a lot of gluten free options to eat while you are there in the food court area. There are however some fun food items to purchase. Margie's Creations Dips and Oil-Bread Dips are always one of my first stops to stock up on Gluten Free deliciousness! Margie also has ...

A Day in Newnan Georgia

A Day in Newnan Georgia

September 26, 2016

My friend and I decided to go on an Adventure Lunch to Newnan. What a treat this small town is! We first visited the Travel & Tourism Office in the Coweta County Courthouse. This courthouse was built in 1904 and the courtroom is in it's original state. It is currently used only for Probate Court. I recently read the book Murder in Coweta County, which is a true story. The trial for that 1948 murder, which was made into a move, was actually held in this exact courthouse. We went on a ...
