The Seaside Farmers Market is always a fun stop! What an exciting moment when I noticed these gorgeous doughnuts. When I first saw them, I had no idea they were gluten free until I got closer to the table. Then I saw the “Gluten Free” signs on each item!! What a thrill to say the least! I had an entire table to choose from!
The Martin Abel House Bakery tent was a DREAM! It was the Grand Finale of the week at Seaside as we were heading back home after the Farmers Market. Everything on the table was organic AND gluten free. The desserts were all scrumptious looking! It was a tough decision to just choose a few items when EVERYTHING looked beyond delicious! Amanda is the Baker and she is incredibly talented. Working with different gluten free flours and fruits is challenging to say the least. She has mastered the challenge! Honestly, everything is worthy of five stars!
My favorite dessert has always been a danish. Well, low and behold, Amanda had also made some fresh fruit danishes. The one that really caught my eye was the Pear Danish. It had spiced organic pears from Amanda’s family farm with cream cheese and a vanilla glaze. The pastry was crunchy as I bit into it and every bite had the pears and cream cheese. It’s been about 20 years since I have had a pastry like this.

This Organic Spiced Pear Danish is just fabulous! It’s beyond delicious!

The Seaside Farmers Market allows the 30A community to learn about seasonality and sustainable farming practices by getting to know the people who grow and prepare their food.
The Farmers Market takes place at the Seaside Amphitheater on Saturdays from 9-1, rain or shine. It’s right across the street from Seaside Beach on 30A.

Thank you so much for your beautiful post about The Martin Abel House Bakery! The pictures you took at my booth are stunning! That was actually the debut weekend for my danish pastries- don’t you love God’s timing? I am so happy that you were pleased with everything.
It’s so important to me that the food I produce is organic and gluten free. I also can accommodate people with other allergies, as most of my muffins, cookies, and cakes can be made dairy free or vegan as well as remaining gluten free. The organic sprinkles on my donuts are vegan friendly. They are colored with vegetables- no artificial dyes there! I am happy to say I do not use chemicals in my dedicated gluten-free kitchen. I even cook on stoneware pans!
I source local ingredients as much as possible. My pears and organic free range eggs come from our family farm: Freedom Hill Farm in Red Bay, Fl. The chickens take their free ranging seriously and run all over the farm. They also are fed whole organic grains, vitamins, and probiotics to ensure the best of health and quality eggs. We also keep essential oils in their water and herbs in their feed to boost their immune systems to keep them strong.
I love being at the Seaside market every Saturday- we actually are able to come Sundays as well as of yesterday! The Martin Abel House Bakery will be there all weekend now and I’m so excited! Hope to see you there again soon!
Hey Amanda! I am so tickled that I was able to enjoy the danish pastries on their debut weekend! It was definitely a gift for me!! You put so much thought into each item that you create and it shows. I won’t be able to make it back any time soon, but I look forward to when I can. Your eggs are on my list as well as more danish pastries! Gosh, they were so good! It was so nice to meet you Amanda. Blessings to you and your family and continued success with your bakery.
