KarmaFarm was just a delight when hubby & I popped in for lunch this week! What an incredible restaurant for us Celiacs and those with allergies. KarmaFarm is one of only 3 restaurants in the state of Georgia that is Certified Gluten Free! That means a completely safe zone to eat for me and so many others. To have such a huge selection of nutritious foods to choose from made it even more special! KarmaFarm is a spectacular farm-to-table casual restaurant with dozens of clean and healthy eating choices.
They have about 35 options of food each day. They serve cold and hot items as you just walk down the food counter line telling them what you would like on your plate. It’s hard not to try everything!!! I got way too much food, because it all looked fabulous, and my eyes were bigger than my stomach! I ended up taking some of it home with me. It was just as good the next day! If you would like a sample first, just ask.
Scott and McCall Wilder are the owners of KarmaFarm. They are so nice and welcoming as well as knowledgeable of preparing food that is certified gluten free in addition to foods without problematic allergens for a lot of people. Their restaurant is completely gluten free, dairy free and nut free.
The Spicy Noodles are one of their best sellers as well as the Truffle Avocado Tomato Salad. The lemon bars sell out very quickly and by the way the doughnuts tasted, I’m sure they are gone early most days! Care for fresh pancakes? Then Friday and Saturday mornings are for you!
KarmaFarm has been certified by the Gluten Free Food Service (GFFS) Division of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) of North America as America’s First Certified Gluten Free Fast Casual Restaurant & Bakery. That is a lot of intentional work that Scott and McCall have poured into this restaurant, prior to it even opening and still continuing. You can definitely taste the difference!
I haven’t had Asian Chicken Salad in forever, so I had to try it. Oh my goodness, it is packed with flavor and was one of my favorites last week. It will definitely be on my plate again when I return! Along with the Fluffy Roll loaded with fresh herbs. Just look how colorful everything is!!
Top of the line nutritious ingredients are listed beside each and every dish that is served. Just the freshest seasonal ingredients are purchased locally. Their seafood is sustainable and wild caught. Their chicken, turkey and beef are pastured and certified humane. You can feel confident that what you are fueling your body with in their restaurant is quality all the way!
Baked goods are one of my favorites, so naturally I had to try those as well! Since I was too full to enjoy them there, I brought home a spiced doughnut and a chocolate banana muffin. They were both so great! The doughnut was probably the best doughnut I have ever had! So moist, fluffy and full of flavor. You would never know it was gluten free!
The chocolate banana muffin had mashed banana in it. Who can resist chocolate and banana together!! Not me! Was so moist and yummy!
When I first walked in, I was greeted by Seth at the front counter. He asked me if I had been there before. When I told him I was a Celiac and this was my first time in, he told me “You are about to blow you mind!” So funny! Well Seth, that’s exactly what happened! What an incredible experience from walking around soaking it all in first and then choosing what I wanted to try, sitting down and digging in! WOW! Honestly, everything was just delicious. And how relaxing for me knowing I was eating so much healthy food that was wonderful and safe for me. What a great day this ended up being!
Scott and McCall have the desire to spread positivity and goodness by giving back to their community on a daily basis. One of the ways they do that is by being involved with No Kid Hungry Atlanta http://nokidhungry.org. For every meal all that is purchased all day long, every day at KarmaFarm, one meal is donated to a hungry child in Atlanta. KarmaFood has donated 8,400 meals so far! Did you know that 1 in 6 children in America faces hunger in every community throughout the United States? Way to go Scott and McCall with your great effort to begin to change that statistic!
KarmaFarm is Southern inspired with their food and hospitality. Scott and McCall will make you feel welcomed the minute you walk in the door! Pop in to see them. And when you do, tell them Rose sent you! Bring a big appetite. You won’t be disappointed!
For this month of June, KarmaFarm is offering a SPECIAL! Just mention my blog and you will receive a free cookie with your entree! One per family/guest & while supplies last.
Thank you McCall for providing some of these images. I left the house for a casual meal not expecting to do a complete blog feature while I was there. Just goes to show how those unexpected discoveries pop up sometimes! I guess I need to make sure I bring my nice camera every where I go!!
