This bakery in Monroe Georgia has been in operation for the past 5 years. And I am just now discovering Bruce’s Sweet Sensations Bakery and Café in all of it’s glory! What a find! All frostings are gluten free! The owners Char & Bruce take extra measures to ensure no cross contamination. Their cleaning techinque is above and beyond to make sure no one gets sick. Very impressive! They cater to gluten free, dairy free, nut free, Kosher certified and carrageenan free!
All of these are gluten free cupcakes. The frostings are all cream cheese with strawberry, lemon, pecan-coconut, and butter pecan. Peanut butter, german chocolate, vanilla, and chocolate are their gluten free options for cake flavors. Red velvet & strawberry are coming soon! I can’t wait to try the vegan key lime cheesecake!!! Ask Char, when you pop in to the bakery, to tell you the details of how she prepares this cheesecake from start to finish. It’s quite impressive.
This cupcake is a gluten free chocolate cake with butter pecan cream cheese frosting. The cake is so moist and flavorful. The cake batters are all made with quality gluten free flours. Need a speciality cake, they will make it to order just for you. Just give Char & Bruce 2-3 days notice and they will create you a masterpiece. The gluten free cakes are just as pretty as the gluten filled cakes.
Let me introduce to you to Char, one of the owners of Bruce’s Sweet Sensations Bakery & Café. Her husband Bruce is the other owner. Char is one sweet Southern lady. Her love for baking and kindness is so evident when you meet her. I absolutely love how she is constantly trying out new recipes to come up with yet another cupcake recipe. I love how all of her frostings are gluten free! The possibilities are just endless. And if you just can’t make up your mind while standing there, Char has all the patience in the world as you decide. She wants YOU to be happy in getting exactly what you want. I also love how she has come up with gluten free, nut free, dairy free along with other allergens to serve those of us who desperately need to be careful with each of those. Both Bruce and Char work so hard to make their bakery successful. Such a ‘sweet’ small business! Way to go Char and THANK YOU!
Char also mentioned that she has a gluten free only grill! She makes the BEST homemade chicken salad and will grill a chicken salad sandwich on her gluten free grill. I will be taking a friend with me soon to try it out! Sounds fabulous! The bakery also has gluten free ice creams to choose from. They have a gluten free, dairy free sorbet that they keep in the freezer separate from any cross contamination. Just give Char a 30 minute heads up so it can soften a bit to be able to scoop (with a designated scooper) when you arrive. It gets super frozen due to not having dairy in it. Days open are Tues – Sat. Occasionally Char is at a speaking event, so be sure to check their FB page for hours for the particular day you plan on patronizing her bakery.
